I certainly hope that what I share in my newsletters ignites that kind of inspiration in readers! So far it's been a slog, but I'm optimistic! I have a lot of wonderful ideas and life philosophies to share that may help others along their writing journey!
And I love this blog and the words below the title, Things I Love.
This reflects my thoughts so well. I just said to another writer, less than 15 minutes ago, something to the effect of, is it weird I love you and what you write?
Absolutely stunning piece! You remind me why I love being a writer so much. I love that while I don’t know these famous writers, I share something in common with them. It’s amazing the connections words can create.
I hope we keep using words to stay connected and remind each other that we will always have a space to share them.
They did not suck. And I love that you wrote them. I love that you knocked on my life today like an unexpected guest, and all it took for me to recognize you and say, "Oh, I know you! Come in!" were your words. Not even a lot of them. Just the first two on the page and the rest rolled along behind like little pearls, lustrous on their string of longing.
I love words that wrap around me like my favorite fuzzy throw... almost a hug from someone, somewhere, in time and space. I love words that pick—like my index finger worrying a ragged cuticle on my thumb—at those little spots buried deep inside, which I tended to avoid like unwanted visitors... until suddenly the words made me understand that all the spots—even the painful or shameful ones—are worth keeping safe. And whether I remember them or not, I love that ALL of the words I’ve ever encountered, through chance or luck or purpose, have found homes within my heart.
So thank you, Linda, for giving your beautiful words. They, too, have found a home...

It's so true, Paula - don't we all hope that? I know I do, too
I love! <3
Thank you Karen :)
This is so beautiful. You captured exactly how I feel about words and writing.
Thank you Jane. Funny how many of our hearts feel that way about words, isn't it?

Oh this is just brilliant. Funny, tearful, insightful. Words. You love them or…. Argue with them. But, they hold their own.
lol Brenda, I argue with them a lot. Hoo boy
Haha…. Yes… they can be annoyingly stubborn.

I received this in my inbox. I am at work, so I was going to brush it aside, but the first 2 sentences caught me, and made me keep reading!!
...and I loved it. It pulled me away from the dullness of a dull day and lifted my spirits.
Thank you for taking the time to be so lovely with your kind words.

Right? That's the beauty of writing, that words connect :)

Oh man, the ones that pick like a ragged cuticle. I have so many of those laying in drafts. Glad you enjoyed this one :)
