Do you know the average rate of curation for the typical writer and then the rate for one of the top ones? I’ve been dying to know this. If I remember correctly your rate is high. You mentioned in passing in one of your earlier posts.

It's wild, right? I was stunned when I read them. I don't know the curation rate, but that's a really good question. I'm going to ask JJ if he can pull that kind of info. I suspect if we can find out how many posts are curated daily and divide that by the submissions, we should be able to get some idea.
My rate is decent when I don't write about Medium. Posts about Medium don't qualify so I think hard before writing about Medium and only do so if I think it will be truly helpful to my readers. Then I'll take the curation hit to do it.
Most months I get around 50% curation rate, but I've had a couple of months with 100%, which almost made me weep with gratitude. It took me over a year, maybe closer to two, before I got curated for the first time.
I'll ask JJ if he can use his data mining magic to find out anything and if he can, I'll share it.
Oh thank you. I was curated within the first month of writing on Medium. I’ve been posting articles for 10 months now. My curation rate has been 90% for the past six months. The algorithm now works in my advantage and my articles are read within an hour or two. Yes I have done a lot of hard work to achieve this, but I feel blessed too.
The changes to Medium this past week, however, have dramatically affected my views. I think the infinite scrolling is damaging reads. My read has dropped by 50%. I hear I’m not alone. I hope this revert back to the previous way of displaying content.
I’ve noticed I’m reading less too. Fewer articles grab my attention. This new system is not working.
You are one of my favorite writers I follow. I'm frustrated because I am unable to post comments and recently any content I've clicked on disappeared after a few seconds. Medium suggested I update my browser. Still no help. I'll keep trying for a few days more. I used to access articles several times a day. I miss my daily "Medium fix". Hopefully this will be fixed soon. Thanks for letting me vent ={
