"The more I learn, the less I seem to know." Suzuki would call this beginners mind. It is a good place to be. Beautifully crafted piece.

The more we learn, the more we learn how much there is left to learn lol. Thank you Paul

Perfection.

I, too, saw that light. Felt the warm, pain-free safety of that space, then was thrust back into a body torn open and needing to heal.

I no longer fear death, and I, too, find the joy in every day. I live the best life I can and welcome the gift.

I still fear death. I know it's not a bad thing. But oh, I am so not ready to be done with this world and this life.

Oh, I'm nowhere near done with this life - but I know what comes afterwards isn't something to fear. Just another experience.

No way to really comment on this without seriously understating how good it is, so I'll just say, "Wonderful."

Not many people get to see life from your perspective. That's quite a gift, although it's a gift that almost took away everything.

Oh, my heart! Thank you, Linda.

“We did not ask for this room,
       or this music;
       we were invited in.
Therefore,
because the dark surrounds us,
       let us turn our faces toward the light.
Let us endure hardship
       to be grateful for plenty.
We have been given pain
       to be astounded by joy.
We have been given life
       to deny death.
We did not ask for this room,
       or this music.
But because we are here,
       let us dance.”

Absolutely gorgeous. This line stole me: "But if you look from your heart instead of merely your eyes, you might see it when it arrives."

So often we just walk right by things that are so stunning, so moving if we just stop to look, but we just walk right on by. You know? I know you do, that's why that sentence stole you. Thank you Ali :)

You’ve shown us a way to be not only a grain of sand on the shore of life, but a glistening grain. 🙏

That’s a manifesto for living like no other. I love what you do weekly but this was spellbinding.

I too saw the light of the universe. A thing I rarely say. I saw a cloud of sparkling whitish light and I stood under it knowing the infinite glory. It wasn’t a near death experience it was literally a vision. What I wish is that I had stopped all those things you listed as a result. But I’m still pleasing people and scoring tiny points. Fewer. But still troubled but the small ego.

Your piece has polished my resolve. I got a gift and need to use it.

You’re a fantastic human. Thank you

You do. You need to use your gift, Lorna. So you don't ever regret that you didn't. And thank you, I'm glad you liked this one :)
