It's funny, isn't it, the way a song just pops in our head and won't let go. Kind of nice to be able to share that. Or pass it on, lol. Thank you Jojo :)

It's in our writing that we meet and maybe share our most tender selves. When we share, it sends a lifeline to the tender selves of our readers. Thanks for this, Linda. Thanks for your tenderness. 🙏🏻

You're so right, Cate. So much easier to share those tender bits in word written instead of spoken. And thank you, too.

I have never met Putin, Trump, Elon, Xi and Zelensky, but my love/hate digital relationships continue, Linda. LOL.

Heartfelt, which isn't a word I use often because of its slightly icky connotations. But this was real and I felt it.

Terri you made me laugh. It does sometimes have icky connotations, doesn't it! lol. I'm glad you felt what I was trying to put into words. :)

You’re one of those people I love and came to know over two and a half years of reading what you write before dawn. And if I woke up one day and your soul quit spinning out the story threads you share my heart would hurt and miss you Linda. There’s not too many people I can just write back to and know they respect my heart when I open it up. I have never met you in person but you already own a piece of my soul. I love you for what you do. Don’t let fear get in your way my dear friend.

You’re one of a handful of courageous friends I’ve made since I began writing online, and yes I would miss you.🌹

What a truly beautiful thing to say Jocelyn. Both here and Medium, you always show up with your arms full of kindness and I just want you to know that I noticed. Some people just stand out because of the light they carry around everywhere they go and you're one of them. Like many writers, fear is a constant companion on the journey but I try really hard not to let it drive lol. Thank you so much. xoxo

Thank you so much, but all light is a blessing and I hope it may shine through me.

There’s a prayer I say when I talk to God. I’m not sure if it’s the same God that I talk to as others imagine. I don’t worry about that I just began talking to God one night when I was ten and very ill in the hospital, and I haven’t quit since.

Here’s my favourite prayer:

I am that place that You shine through,

You and I are one, not two.

You need me where and as I am,

I need not doubt, fear, or plan.

I but be.

You work your plan of love through me.

We write so we’re both light workers, my friend 🌹

Oh my goodness. I felt this one. I know that my life is fleeting and precious and that I want to use it writing, but you made me feel it all over again.

Right? So fleeting and precious and I feel that every day but even more so when we lose someone we cared about. Thank you Abigail

It is so hard to carry that loss. So hard to put it into words. But you did it. Somehow your elegy became also a celebration of living. The way you braid the light and the shadow together like that teaches me so much. Not just about writing, but about life.

Linda.... Thank you for writing this. Thank you for stepping into our community of Gifted Professionals & Communicators. As for Major Tom and David Bowie, I have that in my music library and find it soothing and mind-enriching as I write.

Linda, this is a beautiful tribute and a hard hitting truth. We let into our hearts good people that reach us from near and far until the inevitable that takes them away. The whole 'it is what you love that's the cause of your sorrows' rings truer than ever.
