The Book Café Is Live, With A Snafu

Happy Friday

Last Friday I wrote that I was thinking about making a publication for book lovers.

(Wow. That’s the most comments I’ve ever had.)

So I spent a chunk of weekend building it and Monday morning I opened it up to writers. By Thursday evening we hit 3000 HOURS of read time.

I feel a little bit stunned.

There was a snafu.

My initial thought had been to make every writer an editor so we can all publish our own book reviews. There’s a publication already doing that. It’s called The Partnered Pen. So it seemed like a good model to use for a book review publication.

Turns out — nope.

Rules changed. We can only have 30 editors now. Murphy’s Law. Turns out I was a glutton for punishment. I thought I was joking when I said that. lol.

But that’s okay.

With 30 editors, we can divide up the work. Anyone who doesn’t want the extra work (or have time for it) can be a writer, but not an editor.

Mostly I wanted to say thank you. Your feedback is why I created it. And it’s looking like this little pub will be a very happy corner of Medium.
