2) Earning Money in Uncertain Times

A lot of people are scared right now. Italy has more cases than China ever did.

The state of California has said they expect half the state to be infected in 8 weeks. Over 25 million people. Ontario, Canada is running out of hospital beds.

You know what’s even worse?

For every infected person that showed symptoms, 10 infected people had no symptoms at all. You don’t even know who can infect you with their airborne germs.

If that’s not bad enough?

Some people can’t pay their bills.

No one is coming to save us. Donald Trump said some Americans will get $1000.
Canada’s government is offering 55% of our pre-pandemic wages.

What the hell can you pay for with $1000? Or half your wages?

And now?

Now I’m getting “how to make money from home” emails. Four of them, so far. And I’m seeing “passive income” posts on Medium.

And it’s ticking me off.
That’s the polite word.

No one talks about the fail rate. Because most side hustles fail. Badly. And the advice they’re giving is oversimplified and sets people up to fail. But hey, as long as you clicked their affiliate link, it’s all good, right?

Sorry if I sound blunt, maybe even rude — but helping people figure out why their d@mn business is floundering is what I’ve done for 20 years and I take exception with anyone who gives flippant or irresponsible advice.

I call bull, and I’m qualified to. I’ve worked my butt off for the right to have an opinion on the matter. So I wrote about why side hustles fail and the 3 things you must to do get it off the ground. I hope you’ll read it.
